Wedding Design Ideas: Details Make All The Difference

We understand wedding planning can be so overwhelming and sometimes discouraging, especially now a days! Trust me, we are experiencing it first hand at this very moment. Coordinating colors and designing decorations can get confusing when you scroll through Pinterest and don't know what to look for! As photographers, we want to not only take the stress off of you by capturing what you've already created, but we want to take the stress off while creating your wedding! Ryan and I have vowed to not make our wedding planning process a negative and aggravating thing that we look back on and are like "I'm glad that's over"! Instead, we want to enjoy planning the most symbolic day our lives together and stress free. And that's what we want for you too! So, I've put together a collection of wedding details from several beautiful weddings that I've photographed in the past that can maybe help spark some inspiration in your heart for what you would like your wedding to look like! Here's to your dream day, loves...

We are obsessed with this purple color palette! It's contrast with hunter green is absolutely perfect and was the best combination for this November wedding at Rosemary Ridge! Those beautiful, deep tones will never get old! Not to mention, the hanging glass orbs were the cherry on top of these already incredible floral arrangements! Props to the mother of the groom for this set up! Can she do every wedding I photograph?

The hot pinks, bright blues, and popping purples will be sure to make a statement for a spring and summer wedding. This bohemian, woodsy style wedding at Thunderbird Chapel was completed and made perfect by the unique arrangements of florals by Uptown Grocery!

Every palette needs to one special color to make the look complete! We love this delicate arrangement of hunter green, white, cream, blush pink and that hot pink pop to top it all off! The addition of the fresh baby's-breath added into these bouquets completed the natural look! Done by a family friend, we absolutely love the way it all came together in this wedding at Rosemary Ridge!

We love the style of Naked Cakes! They are so natural and bohemian! The flowers and fruit add that perfect touch. Amy Cakes did an incredible job on this one as always!

We are obsessed with this idea made by Basia's Sweets and Treats in Bartlesville, OK! How about go a different route and order a smaller cake with some extra desserts and cupcakes for guests to have instead?

There is something about a classic wedding cake! We love the polka dot and layered texture on this beauty. The blush pink roses add all the color that this cake needs!

Talk about a groomsmen cake that everyone will enjoy! This was a first that I've seen at a wedding and I was not upset about it! Who wouldn't wanna enjoy a chocolate covered strawberry on your chocolate cake? Okie Cookies Catering deserves an award for this one!

Some may say the wedding dress sets the style for the whole wedding! It's definitely a statement piece, as it should be. That's why we like to consider it a very important detail of the wedding day!

This dress by David's Bridal was a favorite for sure! It's a perfect dress for early spring and fit Haley beautifully! The lace and subtle sequin + beading made this dress one to remember. Venue: Old Trinity of Paseo

I'll never forget the back of this dress by Abelina's Boutique in Tulsa, OK! The front is stunning and then Courtney turns around and you're just blown away. The intricate lace detail with delicate buttons down the back had all eyes on her when she was walking down the aisle! Add a veil, and the look is complete!

There is something about this simple and elegant all lace dress by Bella Rose Bridal that no one will forget! The off the shoulder half sleeves were a perfect match for this bride's style and personality! Venue: Rosemary Ridge

Those Finishing Decorations

These banners (this one made by Kiah Bailey) are so personal and unique! They are perfect to hang on a main wall with a meaningful quote or verse between you and your love. A huge perk about decorating with something like this is you can keep it and hang it up in your apartment with your new wife or hubby!

We love this one! No one shines more on a wedding day than the Mr. & Mrs.! This would be perfect to set behind the bride and groom table or somewhere where it can make a statement of it's own!

DIY photo booth at it's finest! Photo booths are such a fun way to get your guests (and the photographers ;) ) involved and having fun at your wedding! It doesn't entail much except for a simple backdrop + some props!

Anyone out there planning a fall wedding? Well this is a PERFECT card holder idea! How cute is this suitcase? All you need to complete the look is some seasonal props like this!

This one may seem simple but it's so cute if you need just that little extra touch of decorations for your wedding! Chalk boards are the best and you can write anything you want on them including the drink or dinner menu, bridal party, or (like this) the name of the bride and groom!
