Honeymooning in San Diego ☼

SURPRISE! We are finally married. We are finally husband and wife. This finally happened! For those of you who have known us, you know we had been dating for over 7 years and were so ready for this next step of marriage. For those of you who don't really know us, but have been following along with us this past year, you are probably thinking "FINALLY! Maybe now they will stop talking about being engaged"! Sorry to disappoint, but it doesn't stop here ;) We think it's important to connect with all of our friends and clients as we go through life together. We are married and are so happy about it but part of the reason why we started this blog was to dig deep into relationships and hopefully offer some advice. The journey just continues and we are excited to keep sharing more!

Our wedding was incredible. It was everything we could have wanted and more. It wasn't perfect. It was freezing cold (shout out to all of our amazing vendors who suffered through the cold with us and did not complain one bit) and some things didn't go as planned (it never does) but we seriously wouldn't have wanted it to go any other way. It was our day and we feel like it portrayed us well. We were both so relaxed and just tried to soak up the day as much as we could because when people say the day flies by - they aren't kidding. You blink and it's over but you're left with your dream day surrounded by all the people who love you.

We headed to San Diego the day after our wedding for our honeymoon to enjoy the 70 degree weather and sunshine that we weren't getting in Oklahoma! We had the BEST time being together and enjoying our first week as husband and wife. We had been documenting our journey as we plan our wedding so we thought we shouldn't let a honeymoon pass by without a blog ;) Here's a highlight reel of some of our adventures in San Diego, CA!

Our Air BNB: The Dome (La Mesa, CA)

This place is located right outside of San Diego in a really nice neighborhood. We loved it because we could get out of the busyness of San Diego at nights to relax and unwind. These iPhone photos really don't do it justice! The Dome was the perfect, most cozy little getaway place we could have asked for! The host was incredible. I've linked the AirBnb listing if anyone is going to San Diego and is interested in staying in this unique gem! https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/13672556?s=51

San Diego Zoo

We spent a whole day at the zoo and it was our favorite part of the trip!!!

We waited an hour in line to see this momma Panda bear and it was worth every minute. Here you'll see momma eating bamboo and scratching her little ear!

Ryan showing off his new bling ;)

This is where we got our little panda bear - Diego!

He fit right in with us :)

Balboa Park

Sunset Cliffs

Belmont Park

La Jolla

Coronado Island and Seaport Village

We got our pictures taken at La Jolla and it was the best evening ever hanging out together on the beach capturing this special time for us ♡♡ HUGE shoutout to SamErica Studios for doing these photos! They are talented, fun, down to earth San Diego photogs who killed our honeymoon sesh! ;) Here's some favorites!
